Evaluation and Comments:

Golden Tales: Myths, Legends, and Folktales from Latin America provide such detailed stories and colorful images of the myths and legends that make up Latin American Culture. It's fascinating stories helps readers get a better glimpse of the legends told and are well known to the people there.

While the book was very interesting, it is not something I would personally read in my classroom. Some stories contain the concepts of violence and death which may not be appropriate to some students.

With that, it is still a great story to read to older students when learning about Latin America and the many different native tribes that helped make it what it is now.  It can easily connect to a lesson to provide background knowledge or help increase student interest. It is also a great book to recommend to any students who show a fascination in learning more about traditional Latin American tales!

In conclusion, Golden Tales: Myths, Legends, and Folktales from Latin America does not have my seal of approval.
