Evaluation and Comments: 

Old MacDonald Had a Farm is a simple yet effective book retelling the classic nursery rhyme we all know and love. From the beautiful illustrations to the little circle cutouts that let student's guess what the next animal is, this book is a great book to have in the classroom. 

This is an effective book for the younger children when introducing them to classic nursey rhymes as well as the topic of poetry. The children get exposed to repetition, beat, learn about animals, and get to sing along to a very catchy tune. With that, the reading can be paired with a fun art's and craft activities or another read-aloud where the children get to sing along with you!
