In this new world, they didn't know many things and made lots of mistakes. Until one day, they come across a library! Here they are exposed to the unbelievable, surprising, and unimaginable. With books, they learned to read, to speak, and to write. It became a part of their world, their journey and inspires them to keep on dreaming.

Evaluation and Comments:

Dreamers is a beautiful story of how books made a powerful impact on a family who came to a new place and were struggling to find their place in it. It's creative and amazing illustrations really bring the story together and puts an emphasis on the impact books have made to their imagination!

With that, this book will definitely be used in my classroom. Younger students will have so much excitement looking at all of the unique illustrations and will hopefully understand the importance books have on our life's. If your class is talking about immigration and or diversity, this book will help! At the end of the book, readers can read more about the author and her story of coming to the United States. After the reading, the class can have a discussion and talk about what they have learned/what stood out to them.

In conclusion, Dreamers has my seal of approval! 🥇😄
