Evaluation and Comments:

All the Colors of The Earth is a short, sweet book that teaches children that the world is made up of different kinds of people and how each difference makes us beautiful.

An aspect that I love about this book is that it compares our characteristics to nature- like how hair flows like water or how love comes dark as leopard spots. This is a great book to use when teaching younger students about embracing who we are as well as those who look different then us. For activities, you can have students make their own comparisons of their characteristics (for example, I would say - eyes like pools of honey). For more higher grades, you can point out the usage of metaphors and similes.

In conclusion, All the Colors of the Earth has my seal of approval! 🥇😄
